Jenn & Mike's Wedding

Last weekend Koutsunis and I headed down to Augusta, GA for a fabulous wedding. I posted a first look right after the wedding, but here is the full preview of their day. Jenn & Mike had such a perfect wedding and I was so blessed to get to spent it with them. Everything went off perfectly in their Marine and purple inspired wedding. It was Gorgeous!

Jenn's bright eyes were sparkling with anticipation on the way to the church. I got this shot crammed in the back of her mom's car snugly sitting with my camera gear, flowers, bridesmaid dress and all sorts of wedding decor.

First Pres Augusta was a gorgeous location for their wedding.

Some details from the couple getting ready! Ladybugs did an amazing job with Jenn's flowers.

She was such an elegant bride.

I just loved this one! Jenn braved some windy cold January weather!

The Groom. I had so much fun photographing this man in uniform!

I know another ring shot... but I loved this one so much I had to post it!

Koutsunis was camped out in the balcony and got some amazing photojournalist shots.
Here is Mike seeing his bride.

I love the emotion here.

Did I mention that this church is beautiful!

Typical moment from a little guy!

I had to post this shot of the Marine popping the bride! Tradition!

Mr. & Mrs. Michael O'Driscoll!

Then it was off to the reception at St. Paul's River Room. It was fabulous!

Silver Palm was their fabulous caterer and the food looked as beautiful as it tasted!

The DJ kept the dance floor full all night!
First Dance!

Dance Off of Bride's maids and Groom's men!

The best dancer at the wedding...in my opinion!

The cake cutting was done with Mike's sword! Too cute!

The couple snuck off for a little bit for some shots out on the River Walk.

Jumping for JOY! One of my favs from the day. His shoes were perfect for the shot!

Thanks to Jenn and Mike and both of their awesome families. I feel like I really got to know you two...you have an amazing system of support as you start off your marriage! I had so much fun with you both and I cannot wait to show you all of the photos soon!

Love and Peace,

What a diamond can do...an awesome resource!!!

One of my fabulous brides has an awesome blog that I want to share with you! Margeaux originally saw some of my work in Ginger Michell. We were an instant match when she came by to meet me! Today I got to meet her handsome policeman-fiance Doug. Poor thing had just come off the night shift and was ready for bed, but I am so glad that he came along so that we could meet.

For all of you brides out there in the planning frenzy you have to check out Margeaux's blog. It is called What a Diamond Can Do. She is so resourceful and has lots of great ideas and tips for all the planners out there. She is a major blogger and has been blogging for about a year on her other blog, Note to Self. When she got engaged instead of making a wedding website she decided to blog all of her wedding adventures! She actually started the blog on Oct 3, 2008 and her wedding date is October 3, 2009!

She is so spunky, cute, and organized! Check out her blog!

Who says white boys can't dance?

Someone recently emailed me this video and I wanted to post it on here to share with my blog readers. This guy, Matt went all over the world dancing with different people in really amazing locations. He did it to show the affect that dancing has on all people. I Love dancing and especially at receptions! It is not unusual to see me out on the dance floor with my camera getting some actions shots. At one wedding I ended up in the spotlight dance as the DJ started chanting "Go camera girl, go camera girl!" I could not agree more with Matt that dancing can bring any group of people together in celebration. I just felt joy when I was watching this and hope it brightens your day too!

This is the link where I orginally saw the video!

Happy People Dancing on Planet Earth
Credit: Matt Harding & Melissa Nixon

Explanation: What are these humans doing? Dancing. Many humans on Earth exhibit periods of happiness, and one method of displaying happiness is dancing. Happiness and dancing transcend political boundaries and occur in practically every human society. Above, Matt Harding traveled through many nations on Earth, started dancing, and filmed the result. The video is perhaps a dramatic example that humans from all over planet Earth feel a common bond as part of a single species. Happiness is frequently contagious -- few people are able to watch the above video without smiling.

I would love to photograph any of you busting out some of Matt's mad dance skills. So, get to practicing because wedding season is right around the corner!

Jennifer & Michael...Romance and golden light!

Jennifer and Michael got together with me this past Saturday for their engagement session! I was wondering when we were going to get to do their engagement session because Michael is another military man. He is a marine! Michael just graduated from Quantico! He was moving all his stuff to FL and made a pit stop in Macon for their shoot. This couple has a lot going on this month. Originally, when I first met Jenn, she and Michael's date was set for March 15th. She is learning early to adapt. They had to move their date up to January 31st for the military.

Even though both of their lives have been a whirlwind of wedding planning and moving they squeezed in time for me. It was the perfect golden day to capture this sweet couple's love. Romance was in the air...it was clear that this couple was not letting the stress of life get in the way of their joy of just being together!

Here is a preview of a couple of my favs!

Jenn's favorite color is purple so we had to get a shot with these grapes! There will be lots of purple on her wedding day!

The forecast for the day was rain but the sun came peeking though the clouds and we were blessed with beautiful light!

I love this shot of Jennifer. She is going to be a beautiful bride!

Aren't they just perfect together?

Out in the golden grass!

Jenn was playing with Mike's tags....there is just something about a "Military Man."

These two are my new favorite pics! Romance and Sweetness!

These were cute!

Mike got some practice modeling too. Its going to be really cool photographing him in his Blues. He is not just the groom at this wedding either! He is also the cake baker. He is planning on making his own Groom's cake! I will show you how that turns out...my first Groom/Baker!

That must have been a good kiss... look at her toes!

Thank you Jennifer and Michael for meeting up with me for a fun afternoon. I am so glad that I finally got to meet you Mike! Your wedding is right around the corner and I know you cannot wait! I will see you both in a couple of weeks!!!
