NAPP in Atlanta

Yesterday, in the mist of all the craziness, I got to take a break and go to Atlanta with some of my photo friends for a workshop in Atlanta! It was a really fun day of learning photoshop tricks from the Amazing Dave Cross and spending time picking the brains of my friends Heather Mason of khmason Photography and Neal Ward of Inward Studios. I had an awesome time and I really appreciate them including me in all the learning and fun. Here is a silly pic of the three of us Neal took with his super cool iphone. taking FLIGHT!

Today is the day that I am taking flight with my very own company!!!!

Some of you who frequent my blog have noticed I recently removed of many the wedding posts I photographed this past year. Since I am starting my own company, I had to remove all the images that were shot through my previous employer, along with my old website. I loved being a part of all my brides and grooms weddings, and I am sad that I can no longer use those images on my website or blog. However, I am starting afresh and am so excited for what the future holds for me.

My brother, Chris Barnes, is an amazing graphic artist, and gave my logo a makeover. He is so talented! I just LOVE it.


It feels a little like Christmas today. I just opened up my giant box from B&H Photo and had a blast playing with all my new lenses and camera gear. I am eagerly awaiting the delivery of my new website and cannot wait to show it to you! My new website is jennyevelynphoto.com
I will post a here on my blog as soon as I get it up and going!




God has been so faithful to me and my husband during this time of change and transition! We hope that you will celebrate the beginning of our new company with us!

CUTEST DOG!!!!

Thank you to all of you who went and voted for my picture to win the Scarlett Lillian photo competition!

I really had a lot of fun make the image with the help of my husband Koutsunis. We did not win the entire competition, BUT we did win Cutest Dog! Check it out here.

I would have to say that Koutsunis and I totally agree with Scarlett that Kensie is the cutest dog :)

Happy Aniversary!!!

Today is MY anniversary! I cannot believe that it was only 3 years ago that I walked down the isle to become Mrs. Koutsunis Prater! I had the most fun EVER on my wedding day! At one point after the wedding my daddy said to my mom that every penny that he spent was worth all the joy that i squeezed out of my wedding day!

I was hanging out with all my closest friends and family, I got to wear a fabulous dress, my hair looked great, my nails looked great I was tan and thin...etc...but the best part of it all was that God loved me so much that he gave me a wonderful husband! I know, Sappy! I love to look at my wedding photos and reminiscence about all the wonderful memories from my day, but most of all I am thankful for our beginning and where our journey has taken us. I am so blessed to have a husband that loves me, and loves the Lord, and supported my dream of being a photographer. So this post is a Big super huge thank you and I love you to my sweet husband Koutsunis!

Also, my photographer did not have a blog so it gives me a reason to post a couple of my wedding photos to share with you! Every girl loves showing her wedding photos so here are just a couple of mine :)

I LOVED my Shoes and my earrings were my grandmother's that my granddaddy Chappas brought back from Spain when he was in WW2!
